Important information for MAC Users

The Differentiated Visual Tools programs will only work if Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat is used to open the program.

Macs come preinstalled with their own PDF file reader called "Preview," so they automatically open all PDF files using Preview unless you instruct them to do otherwise.  If you do not have Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat installed on your Mac, you will need to install one of them because the DVT programs will not work properly if Preview is used to read them. Simply go to <adobe.com/reader> and follow the instructions for a free copy of Adobe Reader.

After installing Adobe Reader…
Go to your Mac’s Applications folder, and open Adobe Reader. Once Adobe Reader has started, click on the "File" menu at the top of your screen and then click on "Open."  Next, open the Differentiated Visual Tools folder for the program you purchased, and then select the Adobe pdf file entitled "Start (name of the program you purchased)”.   All of the hyperlinks will now function properly.

If a window opens at some point asking if you want your Mac to make Adobe Reader to be your "Default pdf file reader" select "YES."  From then on, Adobe Reader will open automatically anytime you use any of the Differentiated Visual Tools software.
